I have a 1997 Tacoma 2dr extra cab. The driver's side power window goes down but the motor doesn't stop when it reaches bottom. It won't roll up even though the motor is running. Is there a limit switch of some kind that stops the window at the bottom? If so, can it be adjusted or replaced? Or does the entire mechanism need to be replaced? Any help is greatly appreciated.

It seems you might have a problem in the Power window master switch

The controls for the Automatic Down are in the switch.

A solenoid controls the auto down seems this is stuck in the closed position

There are no limit switches !!

Why the Motor keeps spinning with the window down all the way means something is slipping .

Without looking hard to say maybe where the motor attaches to the regulator

How does the right window work ??

Thanks for answering. The passenger window works fine.
