Yeah fair enough. It wouldn't have been a show stopper for me either. Congrats on the new truck. Manual ftw.

Nice! You'll like the 3rd generation despite some of the issues others have had.

A new bolt here, a new bolt there, a new bolt everywhere.
I am in the same boat, except I am going full prerunner/baja style with buldged fenders, extended UCA, LCA, bed cage, ect... I know King also has an extended shock that will give you 3" and springs weights are more easy to find. (atlest for me) Get with @JT@Bajakits he can set you up with one of there kits and help you choose the best spring rate that you need for your application.

As for Fox I am sure the have different spring rates just not sure what they are maybe someone else can chime in.

The cover is not standard. What is probably happening with that dealer is that they order EVERY truck with the cover since the profit margin is high on those covers.

Some one on here had the build sheet and it stated that 100% of all premium tech packages will have the tonneau cover

Only the premium techs have them standard. The Toyota build sheet states that 100% of all premium tech trucks have a tonneau cover

Well that's obviously not true as I have a premium tech w/o the cover, as well as probably 90% of the guys here with P/T.

I would like to see this. Mine is being built with premium tech package and dealer is trying to charge me for the cover.

I will admit most do but it's just because Toyota prefers to add them to increase profit. The truck I have on order is a TRD OR with the tech package and no tonneau cover.

Sweet rides, both of them. Wish the dealer have the truck in that color when I bought mine.

    and here is mine....

I had them splitting the cover with me so that shouldn't be the full $600, but that is besides the point if it is included.

Most do come with the tonneau cover, no doubt. It's just how Toyota prefers to build them for profit reasons. I kind of lucked out in that the allocation the dealer found for me never had the tonneau cover in the first place but it didn't have the Prem and Tech package either. They entered a request for the prem and tech package to be added and it was accepted. The tonneau cover was never mentioned. The steps and mats were also removed per my request but I didn't ask for an updated build sheet. They should be able to request the cover be removed from the build prior to its build date.

You are good then. The tonneau cover is not included in the price of the prem and tech package. It is $650 on top of the $2,330 just as your build sheet indicates.

Sorry for derailing the thread OP.
