Are you runnin 275s? That's the best lifted AC I've seen. Just curious about power/mpg loss.

255/80/17 tall and skinny basically 33's. My average mpg before was around 20 for my daily commute to work with the goodyears on. Now with the coopers I'm averaging around 17-18. I'm very pleased with them.

I'm thinking the perceived difference in mpg is only because the larger tires travel slightly further each revolution so the mpg will appear to be lower with a larger tire when the actual fuel economy is probably the same. I have heard that a slightly larger tire also corrects the inaccuracy in the speedometer and odometer so this makes me think Toyota purposely puts smaller tires on the truck to hide the fact that they overstate the actual fuel economy.

Hey guys....today i saw trd pro on the road....dude kept pulling next to me. We made eye contact and he gestured to roll down my window. He was about mid to late 20's and he asked me....bro! What wheel and tires are those?! I was cruel enough to say....they only come with trd 4Ă—4 offroad models.....haha...he said..."they look better than mine"!

I have been going back and forth for weeks about whether or not I want black or matte gray TRD wheels! The black looks good on BBP but I think matte gray would add some nice constrast when paired with white letters out KOs..

    Hmmm decisions decisions..

I'll probably end up with 265/70/r17 BFG KO2s with Gray TRD Pro wheels.. Then eventually get some bilstein 5100 shocks to replace my stock hitachi "sport" shocks then pair it all with OME 888 springs set at 0 for a 2-3'' lift.

That's my setup. Matte Grey TRD pro wheels with 265/70/17 K02s 'c' load on BBP color truck.

    I love it!

Mind sending a link to a picture if you've got one? I don't think I've seen that set up yet but in my mind it looks good! I've got an access cab so its a little harder to visualize since ive only seen close set ups on double cabs.

I'm between that suspension set up and perhaps a Fox 2.0 set up (front 2.0 coilovers and rear 2.0 shocks) so I'm doing some research into both now. I know the bilstein is the tried and true way to go but I do wonder if spending a bit more on the fox would be worth it.

You're going to love the setup! the tires handle great for me (i'm an on road driver) and the offset on the wheels give the truck a nice stance.

I tried dirt a few times, but couldn't get comfortable - may have to try again now my daughter is getting close to 50 capable :)

Excellent, I'm mostly on road but the roads around here are bumpy and my driveway is gravel and gets little speed bumps dug in it, the little bit of extra lift should help when I occassionally do trails as well. The stock super stiff hitachis are just punishing on bumpy roads so I think just about anything will be better!

I stopped racing/riding for a while because I was tired of spending a few months every year in a cast or sling lol but I finally broke down and bought a new Yamaha YZ250X and I love it! Feels great to ride again and the blue bike looks great riding in the blue truck :bikewhoops:. My girlfriend is wanting to learn how to ride, so I may have an excuse to pick up another fun little bike too!
