Dude, do you not see the error in their ways?
Your a reasonably relaxed individual, with a shittier username than mine...
(yah if I could have a redo I would, but I'll take the shit, it amuses me...)
hopefully your not gonna lose your shit too and post about it,

damn I hope did not stub his toe looking for it...or their could be a lawsuit against Toyota or hell the dealer.....

I guess the whole point of this thread is how concerned do I need to be that I potentially haven't had an oil cap for possible 2500 miles? I really don't think that's warranted the response this thread has received.

I'd be concerned about contamination. Have the dealer do an oil sample and have it checked.

Yes. It is full and oil on the stick looked ok. IE nothing that would indicate water had gotten in. Water would be my main concern.

    Just how they are...
    You can not fix stupid!

I would check the oil level, see what it looks like and have them change it to be safe.
If it is high something could have got in it.

What I would worry about is if they power wash anything on the lot like most do,

Around here the spray the truck, bed and under the hood to keep them clean.
Could have hit it with water and soap.

You have to have it checked. Looking at it isn't going to help.

    Good luck.

I would be concerned...take it to the dealer and they will handle it.

When you learn how to use the forum you will realize the response was not for you....this is reality, welcome oil cap loser...
I could really give a filler cap about your personal life...amusing as it be for someone to "misplace" it....and tell the world and expect a helpful response...go buy a new one and consider yourself lucky you found it was missing...how does that suit you?

OP said he hasn't opened the hood, so how could he have misplaced it? He was broadcasting his concern that a dealer prep newb forgot to screw on the oil cap. This way other poeple can take the 30 seconds to check if they'd like. Much like how a ton of people have been going to the dealer to check their low transmission fluid. I'm sure you wouldn't tell them to just fill it themselves and consider themselves lucky right?

If you don't agree with his question you can simply carry on and not read or reply to it. That's the beauty of a forum, you have to actually open a thread and read it, it's not forced upon you.

Really I have no bias against the OP, my point being if you found your oil cap missing would you run to the house and post on TW? or would you get it resolved? Find a replacement and get it resolved...

Sometimes "tough love" works....maybe thats why this country is in a quandary., as "you" are worried about what I have to say as if I do not have a right to say it....I did not post up how somehow the oil cap went missing...on to better things for me...I really do not have more time to caudal misappropriated accusations and tell me what I should do.....tell the OP, apparently he wants to hear it.
