Did trans service today. At 58k I just drained and filled. I didn't do the trans temp game with jumping wires and I didn't think it was necessary to drop the pan and change the filter. Maybe 100k. I just measured what I drained (almost 4 qts) and replaced with a tad more. 1st time changed and it looks good. No major metal debris or gunk. Actually pretty clean.

I highly suggest spending $7 at auto zone for the oil pump:thumbsup:

Got some new tow hooks. I'm going to replace the factory sheet metal hook for this beefy one. I'm going to get longer factory bolts even though they will work. I'll post install pics this weekend.

Here's the results. I got 12x1.25x55 bolts 10.9. Forgot to take pic of them but you can see them mounted. Now I mounted facing down and didn't like how low it hung. Again didn't take pic of them mounted down. So it sits perfect facing up. Way more beef.

I've hated the stock shift knob from day 1. I'm super picky and have not found one I like. I actually bought a Trd (scion) knob and returned it the next day. It was too small. I was interested in the turd gen but it's got a snap ring for the boot you have to use with it. So after we got our 14 Avalon I really liked the shift knob on it. So I got one on eBay for $30. Fits perfect and looks clean. I have the black shifter cover with cup holder on order. (panel sub assembly). I'll post when I get it.
