    this was my problem i was telling you about with the wheelset and lugs i removed at your place remember? seems toyota put the bare min studs on the 2nd gens, there is a sticky about this in the wheel and tire forum.

    I was told that you should have atleast the thickness of the stud. Example on a half inch stud you should have a half inch of thread being used. I got used wheels from a Chevy and they were very thick and I was only using a small amount of the studs. Never had a problem but just for peice of mind I had longer studs added to my new hub assemblies. Rear is still stock though.

    When I got my new tires and rims, Discount Tire recommended a minimum of 8-9 turns. I get about five full turns before hitting the torque value..
