What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I haven't looked at the part numbers on mine but they have different markings.

I would get on the phone with whoever you ordered from and start asking questions - or let some of the other guys wake up and post your issue again...

The markings are in relation to spec. (-) the spring rate is just under spec, (o) spring rate is right on spec, (+) is just over spec. They are not side specific. When I installed mine about a month ago I had one (-) and one (o). I installed the (-) on the passenger side and (o) on the drivers side since the spring rate would be slightly better and accommodate the weight of the fuel tank. With that being said, all markings are within OME's tolerance and shouldn't drastically effect the springs.

Someone else feel free to jump in and correct me if I'm wrong, but that's my understanding of the markings on Dakars.

 

I was obsessed with trying to correct the taco lean and in the end I wish I didn't. The VSC light has been on since and after I got my air bags installed now there is passenger lean because I think the bags correct most of it. Taking mine off this week

 

What are you taking off?

 

1/4" spacer. I have it on the drivers side but I'm going back to same on both

I do not think they are side specific. It would be up to you if you got different tolerance ones which side you want to put it on. Mine were both 0s so it didn't matter

 

Picked up a trailer today to do an expedition build! Picked it up for 300 bucks. Goal is to just get it to where it can hold the cvt and then lift my truck! First pictur is from me and my wife's trip out west! I couldn't figure out how to get the other picture off. Sorry about the double post lol

Does the trailer have the 6x5.5 matching Tacoma bolt pattern? keeping the cargo low will help with traveling! Great find.

 

On my Dakars, one pack had a (+) on them and one had a (-). The (+) one should go on the driver's side since this has a little more spring to it. I actually fixed any visually noticeable lean like this.

EDIT: A bunch of other people already said this.

 

I think I just need to re-route my exhaust, add another gas tank, loads of armor, and go disappear in the woods for a couple weeks

Nothing crazy but slapped on my GoPro hero 3+ cam on the windshield

 

I think all of us wouldn't mind dissappearing in the woods for a couple of weeks. The 2nd gas tank sounds like a great way to make that happen.

 

Anyone figures out a way to actually plumb in or add a second, or larger fuel tank, I'm in.

 

Been playing around with other mounting configurations and I think this'll be the best. Below the bar. I have plenty of room and now I'll have no problems with canoe going on & off rack. And the light will easily clear my truck cab roof since I have the Leer 180 mid-rise. Hoping to get them mounted soon.

Oh, I checked with Rigid and I'm ok to flip these with no effect on the light output & pattern as these are spots.
