Mods there really wasn't anywhere else to post this, we don't really have any electrical subforum but if you think it belongs elsewhere please move it.

I've been developing a digital inclinometer. I've always wanted one and I've never seen one that has the functions I wanted and actually displayed my own vehicle let alone our trucks!

I'm still developing but the hard part's are out of the way. If there's enough interest I'll gladly produce these and include options such as vehicles and screen colors.. actually I've got color OLED screen enroute already.

I'm on my phone and I'm limited to what i can post but more info can be found on my blog http://improperengineering.com/tag/digital-inclinometer/

Very cool! What would the price point be for something like this, also how would the final product be housed/mounted?

Not sure because I'm not set on a screen for one.. the one in the video on my blog is a .96" screen, much too small. I still have a few things to figure out anyways but the major hurdles are done.

I haven't thought about mounting yet to be honest.

Any chance of including degrees of tilt? I do prefer the digital aspect, like the UltraGauge.

    Nice work!

There are 15+ Android apps that do the same thing and more, though...

sure. the image readout is based on that already anyways!

true, but that's one more thing you've got to use your phone for. I personally never liked using a bunch of stuff on my phone while i'm wheeling. heck i don't even like pulling out my phone to text people anymore ha. i already use it for music and I like to keep it charged should i need it for pics or whatnot. even when plugged up it's generating more heat because of all the extra CPU and sensors being used which in turn would still keep it from charging fast properly. just me though. i've used some of the phone apps, they are neat though!

For anyone who may be interested in one of these in the future, what size would you like to see? especially you 2nd gen guys because I don't have one of those so i'm not too sure on locations for them. I know in the past someone has made something like this without the screens and guys were mounting them by the shifters under the radio as well as by the rearview.
One big screen(3"+) or 2 smaller screens showing pitch and roll separately?
It's own unit as in it's own case and everything so you could put it on your dash or something a little more bare so you can hide it?

Rewrote the animation function. It's much more smooth now, not sure if it could be any better at this resolution.
