    Reserected from the dead.
1st off welcome to the team. There are many here that love rebuilding these trucks. Cool that you are going to tackle this.

2nd, please hit the enter button an extra time or two. Those huge paragraphs are hard to read on our phones.

3rd, there is a huge amount of resources on this site for parts.

You can get many parts in the "for sale section" of this site or list what you are looking for. The network is huge! Its free to ask.

These 1st gen truck have lots of new parts that can be often found on Amazon, Ebay or Rock auto, to name a few sites.

He should look at the "what have you done to your 1st gen" thread for ideas. Make sure he has a block of time, its a HUGE thread.

I rebuild these trucks and have had them just about as far apart as you can take them on several occasions. I love talking about them...many others do as well.

    Again, Welcome

    Kirk

That's a bit of a drive, otherwise I'd offer some help on what I could.

Hey guys Little bit of a bummer the truck we are building. I knew was to good to be true it has not 40,000 but 240,000. I'm good with it but my wife is freaking out I only paid $1000 for it it runs great you wouldn't even know it sat in a field 6 yrs is it worth it to put about 4-5 grand in this my mechanic said it was solid.
