No problem. Glad I could help. There are plenty of 16 x 8 or 17 x 8 wheels with 4.5 to 4.75 backspacing and the correct bore to fit your truck. You could always buy some decent stock wheels off of a 4runner too. If you like the black wheel look you can paint or plasti-dip any wheels.

Need a little help, I have a 2nd gen 4wd. I have a buddy with 1st gen black steel wheels. I've been researching backspacing and offset but can't find any info. Wondering if they would fit.

All I can tell you is the 1st gen stock offsets were +20 to +42 offset and the tire range that fits is 205/75/15 to 285/30/22. The 2nd gen were +30 to +45 stock offset and the tire range that fits is 215/70/15 to 285/35/22. Basically anything that fits a 1st gen will fit a 2nd gen with the same suspension. If your buddy has spacers then you need spacers. Just remember the more + on the offset is more chance of rubbing the inside and the more - the offset the more the tires stick out.

Can confirm: 28.5 lbs on an uncertified bathroom scale. 3 out of 4 wheels weighed 28.5.. the 4th weighed 28 lbs.

My 2011 is on the stock TRD Sport wheels... but they are rather chewed up and I'm wanting to change them out. Only times I've ever done something like this before, were on small cars where I didn't have to worry about spacers, back spacing, offset or any of that.

If I use a site like say, Tire Rack or something, and their site says that an 8" wheel will fit my truck... will it be a simple wheel swap, or will I need to do extra work? I'm currently on 265-70-17 BFGs, and I'll be sticking with that size, at least for the foreseeable future.

How was the clearance with your stock wheels. Your stock offset is +30 on the 17 x 7.5 wheels. I went from 17 x 7.5 +30 stock to 17 x 8 +10 and that moved the tire 1" farther away from the engine on 265/70/17. Not close to rubbing anywhere. If you have a +30 on an 8" wheel you may be close to rubbing the control arm. Get something from +20 to 0 offset and should be fine on stock suspension. The most important thing on these is the CENTER WHEEL BORE MUST BE 106.1-106.25 MM.

Does anyone know what the backspacing on these are?

Are they off a tacoma. If so they are probably 16 x 7 with +30 offset which is 5.18" back spaced.

Wondering if you guys could give me a hand here, I've got a 2008 TRD sport with 5100s set to 1.75. Looking at some rims that are a 17x9 with 0mm offset and 5" backspacing, how these will work with a 265/70/17 tire? Mainly concerned with if they'll rub or stick way out past my fenders

Inside clearance or back spacing will basically be the same as stock. Just make sure bore is 106.1-106.2 mm. Also note that a 9 inch width is actually 10 inches wide. Do you have stock 16 or 17 inch wheels. What size tires you on now. Tire size is fine. I think the 9" width will require 2.5 to 3 inches of lift (another inch). You can go to 8.5 width if you stay between +15 and +6 offsets. I have 265/70/17 on 17 x 8 +10 offset and they are perfect with no lift. That is on my 16. The tires sit flush with fender. Just note mine sits 1 inch higher stock than my 08 did. If you now have 265/65/17 on 7.5 wheels the new setup will stick out 2 inches farther away from the engine. You are most likely gonna rub as you sit now. I have really searched and investigated and concluded 8.5 is as wide as I can go stock. Looking at 285/50/20 for my next setup. The benefit of + offsets is the option of spacers to adjust for your own taste or eliminate uca rubbing. When you go 0 or minus you lose that option.

Thanks for the info. Found another set I like with 5.45" BS and 18mm offset that are 17x8.5 thinking I'll go that route instead

Seen too many 2nd gen Tacos require 3" to clear 9" wheels. See if you can get a test fit. Be worth a $20 investment to the tire guy. If no rush then look at trucks for sale on craigslist. See how the majority go 3" for wider wheels. I say bribe the dealer for a test fit. Lower it with truck weight on it and check for no clearance with outer corners of tire turning it lock to lock.

Looked at the hub bore too for those wheels and its 108mm instead of 106.1, figured between that and what you mentioned about the 9" rims I'd be better off with the other ones I'm looking at since they're a 17x8.5 and 106.1 hub bore

I think thats a wise choice. I would go wider than 265 on 8.5. Will look skinny like mine do on 8 inch. Try to stay under 32 inch diameter too.

Are Toyota 16" SR5 alloy wheels (2012-2015) the same as the 16" TRD Off Road alloy wheels (2012-2015)?
If so, will those wheels fit on a 2015 TRD Sport truck?

    Thank you!!

Same. Here is a good link so you can check any stock wheel.

Thank you for the confirmation!! So there should be no issues running those wheels on a Sport truck.
