Go with a stealth box from jl audio bit pricey but the sub sounds amazing and acts like an arm rest for anyone in the back of the Extrs cab

Yeah that's the drawback but if you could find a used for around 400 it's better I got mine for 450 and by far one of the best purchases for my truck

Just buy the JL sub and build your own stealth box. Pretty simple and will save you over 50% easy.

Or just don't buy overpriced JL stuff.

Edit: Before everyone throws a fit about JL bashing just understand, I like JL audio a lot. Good products, but the prices they charge is bullshit. If you can get good deals on it, do it. Otherwise you are paying out the ass for 2 letters JL....

Like I stated I understand it is a bit pricey but if you have the money for it its one the best in my opinion, multiple people compliment how hard the sub hits and wonlt believe that it's a single 10" and not 2 12" but that's my .02

And it's not a ricer sub meaning just overpowered bass that sounds like shit, this box/sub are easily one of the cleanest sounding subs I've heard

You do realize you can over power any sub and make it sound like shit right? I can't tell you how many TACOMA's I've worked on where people think gain is a volume knob. Has nothing to do with 'ricers' as I've seen a ton of shitty sub setups on TW.

It's a good sounding sub. If you want a sub for SQ I'd get an Image Dynamics any day of the week over JL.

    Plus, it's cheaper.

Ahaha. The "volume" knob always gets me. Its ridiculous how many people dont know what the gains are for. I see all the time where people will have their system setup so its basically at full blast and clipping and the decks volume is only at 10 out of 30.

Im not on the jl bandwagon either. No doubt its quality but even so its still overpriced and you can get the same for cheaper.
They don't make them anymore but the best sounding setup ive heard personally were a couple oldschool infinity perfects.

Yep - still like to do it some day, but it'd be a project and I'm pretty happy with my truck as it sits.

The Tang Band W6 would be a good candidate

    Or the Anarchy

    Or maybe the DD 506

Yeah I think you'd need to deaden it, but it has potential
