Agreed. I remember some heated arguments in PoliSci class...if we'd been packing...uh oh. Couple that with the fact that we'd sometimes be rolling into class still drunk from the night before. No guns should be added to that equation.

The majority of students in undergrad can't have CHLs (or LTCs, I guess it'd be now) since they're not 21...

The majority of college students are adults. What happens when another shooter is about? What happens when someone is faced in a life death situation? We have a right to defend ourselves by any means necessary, this isn't grade school.

 

Even if it was still 19, minimum age for LTC (except for military) is 21 years old, which rules out most undergrad- drunk or otherwise.

Even at 21, I don't think I was mature enough to carry concealed. I certainly wouldn't have trusted me with a gun on campus.

With the shit that makes the news here about the crap that happens at UT, I understand both sides of the argument.

 

It all just comes down to common sense. Whatever side of the coin you fall on, either side can look reasonably at a situation.

Regardless... what about the faculty staff and the middle aged students etc etc? Most 21 year old students can't afford the course and or the gun anyways.

Anyways my point is that regardless of how you feel about hipsters and frat boys and sorostitutes, you take the good with the bad. Those people could get those licenses and weapons before just conceal em and could illegally carry if they wanted for that matter. I like that potentially responsible people can legally carry as well now.

Personally I never gave a fuck because I went to SHSU college of CJ so my building was crawling with teachers who could legally carry, and did, because they were ex cops etc and SHSU has a crazy amount of cops in general.
