Gross. I hate it when modern vehicles crash the car show. Not a classic yet? Then gtfo

Car shows are funny that way. There is always people that show up and think their ride is nice. Its usually an old turd car, but you get modern stuff too.

Yea, but it's not always about having a rare, perfect car. Sometimes it's a unique survivor that' been well cared for, or something that might have been cool in it's day (Fiero GT/Cavalier Z24, heck even a Pinto or Gremlin) but history has been cruel/indifferent to. Cars at shows don't have to be amazing, they're best when they're interesting. Showing up with a dirty truck -- and I know the OP did it in a lighthearted way -- kind of disrespects the immense care that the other attendees have lavished on their vehicles.

I think it's nice that any vehicle old or new shows up. More to look at. And it might entice someone to take a serious look at the 3rd gen Tacoma.

I had a Fiero...motor blew crossing a bridge one day. Cracked block, known issue, $9000 warranty job. Gremlin's and Pinto's, now that brings back memories! Don't know if I'd call a Pinto "interesting", maybe for some youngster who would laugh at that thing. If memory serves me right, think they made those in a station wagon with the fake wood veneer on the side.

He's just reminding people to not take things so serious. I'm sure the OP walked around to check out the other rides and probably even complimented the owners.

When I was 5 my parents had one of those Pinto wagons... yellow with woodgrain sides. And a stick shift, too!

If you have ever been to a Quaker Steak and Lube, your expectations are not that high for a weekly car show.

For me, it's like the whole "Built not bought" mantra of many off road enthusiasts. If I spent years restoring a car to be in a car show, I don't want the car next to mine to be some brand new car off the lot. One shows the craftsmanship of the car and the owner, the other shows the craftsmanship of the car and the wallet of the owner

I have a bunch of Corvette friends with heavily modified C6 and C7's that would take exception to your view. It's more about the brotherhood, not the manufacturing date.

Difference between a car Club and a car show. All I know is I just wanna see the classics. BTW the newer corvette and the new challenger crowd seem to be the worst about crashing car shows imho

I like both. But I drive modern.

The original post was hilarious. Special feature, six speed. Lol

But putting the hood up was classic.
