Hey all I am installing backup lights and I planned on replacing (on the left of the steering wheel) the top row middle switch blankl. But after popping it out there is a damn plug behind the blank and another plug behind the bottom row right blank as well. What the fuck are they? did Toyota wire stuff up but not install switches, Im fine with putting the switch for my backup lights in one of the other blanks but I want to know what these plugs do.
I have a 07 Prerunner SR5 TRD Sport Access Cab also if it helps both plugs have four wires going to them.
Im wondering if someone else has switches from the factory in these locations what they do?

Top slot is for the rear locker in an equipped TRD off-road truck, and the bottom one is to disable roll sensing side curtain airbags for off camber off road use, in a TRD 4x4 (not sure if it was on the sport or just the OR). It is very common for manufactures to standardize the wiring harness to reduce production costs, and then on vehicles that don't have that option simple put a blank over the switch. In short they don't do anything as you don't have those options installed.

I will leave the plugs there for later projects but I already spent about an hour and a half running all the wires in the cab and the one wire to the rear bumper, I'm grounding it through the bumper.
