FYI. Almost all smokers and grills at Walmart, here in Texas at least, are on clearance 50% off. I saw a WSM 14 for $99. Saw some masterbuilt smokers on clearance too.

 

ive got my meat ready to go in the fridge. I say smoke a good pork shoulder and a couple o chickens! ive got to tote everything up to goose creek though, the neice is being born today so im house sitting till they get back. they've got a larget grill so im not complaining!

 

I went to ours yesterday, North austin area.. And they have a bunch in stock all clearance

 

what kinda injections do you do? im only planning to marinate tonight, smoke in the morning. got me a couple of cheap thermometers at the wally world so that I don't have to open the lid to check temps.

 

hmmm I may try something new tomorrow haha. I just did brown sugar, salt and red pepper flakes in the brine for some heat.

Might hit Costco today and buy a pork tenderloin and smoke it and slice it! Lot's to do this weekend and since i have a pellet pooper my Taco can keep an eye on things!

my dad had one of those for a long time and loved it, but hes just as happy using my old one without the smoker box on the side. he said its easier to keep the heat constant without the box, but you can smoke more meat with the smoke box.

 

Also @scottalot since ill be just down the road from burbages meat market up in goose creek, ill see how their meat prices are compare them with IGA. I love that damn place. soooo much meat!
