    @ProForce ,

    Adding a plate and frame heat exchanger for hot showers can be done. My pal did it. I like the way you have your plumbing set up at the rear. Very clean. My pal uses a pop up "potty" to use as a shower stall. Let's make things happen!

    The plumbing for this can be improved upon. But the Optest and field tests are successful. A 5 gallon jug of water provides about 10 mins of continuous hot shower time. I'm a Navy guy so I'm used to Navy showers onboard. Water on, rinse. Water off, soap up. Water on, rinse. Water off. I can get quite a bit of showers with 5 gallons.

    Hot shower in the cold desert, snow, or a regular ol' perfect weather kinda day. It's on!

    Here's the plate and frame heat exhanger that he uses cut in half. Pretty cool.

    I had a similar shower setup on mine, I since made it remote (mounted in an ammo can) and have a separate propane heater for the water. Use it to also power the misters on hot days.

    Here's @MJonaGS32 @Baoser and I this past weekend:

    It does not currently. I was considering making that optional but was looking into propane powered tankless heaters. They would use the green bottles that are used for camp stoves or an actual propane tank, whichever you prefer to carry. But i havent though about the exchanger unit yet. Ill dig into that. Im all ears if you have ideas :)

    Very very cool! I gotta look deeper into this. Plumping water from rear storage to the engine and back takes a bit of pressure so thatll certainly change the type of pump required. A 1 or 3 gpm pump likely wont cut it. Would this require running the engine up to temp before producing hot water though? And can you control the temp? Those are my main concerns. Im wondering if a small tankless propane heater would work better?

    Check the Rancho Cucamonga thread. Sept 23-25 group camping trip to San Gorgonio. Its a family campground something small and simple mostly a place to stay while we hit the trails on saturday and drink at night and just chill. Its the 2nd annual trip. Last year was a blast!

    Does anyone have recommendations on a above ground portable fire ring? I would like one for playa camping and other places that might warrant not scaring the ground.

    I use one of these. Very happy with it, to the point that I never burn wood.
