Truck horn sounds like Herbie the Love Bug

Hello Folks,

I pressed the horn this morning and it has a high pitch, not the regular deeper tone that our 2nd gens normally have. I opened the hood and tapped on the horn closest to the drivers side and now it sounds like normal.

I want to replace both horns with something as loud or louder than OEM. No air horns, just regular horns.

Any suggestions?

Idk how these sound or anything about them really......but its an option....

 

Yeah the horns in my Taco are fickle too. Sometimes it's deep, sometimes it's pretty gay.

 

So you truck swings both ways?

 

I only have one dinky horn on my truck that belongs on a moped!

A week late to the party but I had this on my motorcycle and it would challenge Mack trucks I'm not sure if the stock horns go through a relay but this thing pulls some power:

The worst I had was my 2008 4Runner. That sucker was so effeminate sounding that I'd rather have run over a group of toddlers and done the jailtime than to honk at them to get outta the way. It was pretty bad.

Yeah. I've seen this horn. I wish i had the vehicle to go along with it.
