    Nice writeup!

Here's what I used to press my new ones in. Most auto stores let you rent it for free

I tried one of those, wasn't long/wide enough to get the larger bushing into the arm

    Thanks.

That's a nice kit from what I've heard. Unfortunately, my oriely / autozone don't have that one. I've asked for the powerbuilt one.. They used to carry it, but now I think they carry a brand called "OEM" lol

Subbed. I think my right front LCA is squeaking source. I've replaced lower ball joint (total pain), new tie rods. UCA looks fine with poly bushing... My last check will be the coilover bearings... It's honestly difficult to determine the exact source. Trial and error.

    A couple comments.

    1. IMO, The factory rubber LCA bushing should never squeak. They can make a clunking noise if they become loose and dislodged from the LCA, in which case you remove and press a new one in. You can diagnose that by carefully inspecting looking for witness marks. There is a good thread about it somewhere.
    2. I don't think our coilovers have any bearings. Cars with MacPherson style struts do because the strut rotates in unison with the steering knuckle. Our trucks don't work this way. Our trucks UCA ball joint stud is the pivot point and when you turn the wheel the spindle will rotate on the ball joint stud.
    Just trying to help.

Great thread. Idk what coilovers you have but my Icon ones have bearings at the top mount and at the bottom. Mine don't squeak tho and I know this because I just cranked the coilovers up for extra lift.

    Great thought.
I had the wife record while I cycled the suspension. Need to upload here when I get to the desktop.

I have 2.5" sway away coilovers with bearings top and bottom like most standard aftermarket performance systems. UCAs are uniball design. I sprayed all the metal bearings with silicone, no noise reduction. Sway bar is also removed so that eliminates a few joints.

I have stock coils and bilstein 5100s, maybe I'll swap those in and see what happens.

Been about 2 weeks now, alignment was perfect - he actually didn't have to adjust anything as I marked all the eccentrics and installed exactly as before disassembly.

I had been getting popping from the oem rubber lca bushings, which were brand new by the way (frame recall) for unknown reasons. (I loosened and torqued to spec, tightened again and over spec, wouldn't stop popping - also replaced my tie rods)

Haven't had a pop since! I'm happy and the ride does feel better, seems smoother over bumps and all.

    Thanks Crom for the writeup!

I have the same seized bushing/cam bolt problem. I was wondering, when you do swap these out are you just doing it on the bad one(s) or while your at it replacing all 4 ?
    thanks
