FYI. I had a batch of Tepui Awning Extensions (Room/Ground Tent attached to awning) brought in for a group on another forum. I should have a few extras if anyone is interested. $315 + shipping. Hit me with a PM if you'd like one. They are ready to ship.

Pretty much stock with some crap welded to it.
How does it attach?? That's slick! Also can you leave it up without the awning up?

It has a zipper attachment that connects to the awning. Yes it can be set up as a free standing unit without the awning.

Just finished checking availability and we've got a handful of ladders in stock but we're waiting on sheets. Probably a few weeks out on sheets.

I don't have exact measurements in front of me but yes, it's roughly 6-1/2" feet wide and long and about the same for height.

i cut my mounting rails, they work, but i'd like to spread my weight out a little further on top of my canopy. cvt wants $50 to ship new rails, thinking that i can make my own out of unistrut but availability for the thinner stuff is limited near me and it's roughly $25 for whats needed.

so debating whether it's really worth it at all.

Replacement rails will be $45 + shipping which is probably in the $5 range so you'd be about the same cost as what CVT has told you. Let me know if you want some.

No they are fitted just like your sheets at home (one elastic fitted sheet and one top sheet.)

Has anyone ever replaced their ladder? I ask because mine I getting extremely hard to deploy. I've looked at it and I've tried to fixed the problem.

The problem is that, there are metal shavings ( from manufacturing the tent ) that are getting into the rail system of the ladder and the when I try to deploy the ladders they get all bound up and is not fun to get the ladder out lol.

what brand tent/ladder do you have? I should have one or two ladders available if you want to replace it with a Tepui telescoping one.

I have a ironman 4x4 tent. It's been a great tent other then the ladder jamming up. Those telescopic ladders are nifty!

    @Box Rocket

Any advice for a "no nothing" on the East Coast (so jealous of the West Coast folks who amazing places to camp!) who is looking at Tepui for his roof top tent option?

    Here is my situation:

    > Currently leaning toward a Thule Xporter Truck Rack for a number of reasons. Will this work well with a Tepui?

    > Currently trying to decide between the ruggedized three person and the ruggedized four person tent. For the most part we will be three in the tent (my wife, my son and I). I am thinking the four person will give us more room but if you think I can get by with a three person I can save some money.

    > I think the ruggedized version is best -- and my wife is highly supportive if I get "the cute one in orange." Thoughts?

    > Do the rugged versions have the ability to see out the top for star gazing?

    > One of the reasons I am leaning toward Tepui is that I can get it from REI -- with points, etc. What is the best price you can offer if I order direct? Or does that not matter.

    > I also have to say another factor causing me to lean toward Tepui is the responsiveness and support I've seen you offer here in the forum -- in our day and age of big, impersonal business that is worth its weight in gold.

I look forward to hearing from you.
