Modified cars and pride of their ownership.*

The only time I see modern and vintage cars mixed at a show is when the "show" is in the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly. Legit car shows have cutoff dates, or are model specific (All Corvette, All Mustang, etc,.)

The Cars and Coffee shows in Dallas and Ft. Worth are a healthy mix. You never know what is going to show up but you can always count on a Mustang fail at the end. Lol

C&C and similar would be a huge exception, but I've never been to one, too high brow for me.

Lol I'll take your word for it. And to the other guy, a Fiero was one of the shittiest cars ever made.

I got it for $3000 in High school. It was a manual 5 speed that could take corners going 35mph. I'm glad I survived all the stupid shit I put it through. :burnrubber:

Not true. That Quaker Steak is located in Pinellas Park. The locals would find his truck quite attractive. But to win anything at the local level he needs bigger wheels and mudders.

Most of the nice rides that show up there are from other towns in the county, or from neighboring counties.

(disclaimer: We own a rental house in the neighborhood across the traffic light from that location. And our tenant is not a redneck)

Well it is. It took 3 months for my truck to be built to order. There are/were no 6-speeds available.

Damn straight they were. But I had the 2nd Gen 4 Cyl which had the cracked block from the factory. It was only a matter of time before it would blow. Man, that was a sight to see. Smoke billowing out of the back of the thing like you wouldn't believe. Happened on a Sunday and had it towed to a dealer. Service Manager calls me and says "Can't find anything wrong with it, started up ok". Told him I'd wait on the phone for him to go out and open the hood (trunk). I waited, he got back on the phone and said "Oh, shit"...true story.

And I'm glad you shared the story and pictures Phil. Good to have a little fun once in a while.

Oh, don't mind my comment. I was just popping off with a snide remark in response to a snide remark. It was also in fun.
