I'm debating of mounting a Jerry can or Rotopax can in my 2016 Tacoma. I have a factory Tonneau cover, so I'm not sure the Jerry can will fit sitting upright. I've seen the Jerry cans mounted on there side, but wonder if they could possibly leak.

I was thinking of going with the 2 gallon Protax, but up to suggestions.

You can get 2 gallon Jerry cans if you're concerned about the height. The metal jerry can is better in my opinion, if you get a real mil spec one you could drag it down the road and come out alright. Not so with the Rotopax. Not that they're bad, just different purpose I guess.

Also a mil spec can won't leak. A better option all around.
