I just saw that the Lake Powell Ferry from Bullfrog to Hall's Crossing is closed due to repairs. No info on when it will be up and running on the UDOT web page or at the phone number listed on that page. I was planning on taking it in mid October to hit the Burr Trail going from south to north, and if it's not running, it will add several hours to the trip from NM. Anyone have any idea what's going on?

State Automotive in Murray are my go-to guys and I'm sure they can hook you up with that if you're not comfortable doing it yourself. They're avid Toyota guys and there's always a bunch of Land Cruisers, Tacomas, etc. they're fixing and building. Give Dustin a call and he'll take care of you. Great work and great prices.

    Edit: (801) 565-8411 is their #

It's been a year and a half since I posted up in here, so I guess I should post up the most recent rig since my white runner is now living in Alabama.

Anybody in the Utah thread active? I'm in Salt Lake City just for the night from business and just wanted to ask where the place to eat or what to do for a night was. Any advice would be great! Thanks!

I am not much for night activity because work and family occupy most of my time but a cool little place to eat with excellent BBQ that usually has live music is Pats BBQ in South Salt Lake. Not sure where you are or if you have a vehicle but you should be able to get close to it with Trax and the streetcar. If you have a car and a little more time I recommend driving up to Park City. It is only about 35 minutes east and there are lots of cool places to eat and hang out on main street.

Welcome to town! I strongly recommend checking out Red Iguana for dinner. Killer food, especially the sauces they put on everything. It's a unique take, I think they call their food "pre-Hispanic" or something. Killer food.

The Bayou is a hotspot downtown for 20-somethings if that's your crowd. They have fried Twinkies ... need I say more?

Both spots are my favorites, not to mention the beer selection at the Bayou.

Thanks for the responses guys! I had some work to do, so had to get back to the hotel but I spent some time at Creek City Center? and ended up eating at the Cheesecake Factory. I must say...I love Salt Lake City. It's so nice here. I assume you folks never go on vacation unless it's just to Moab haha

If only ... I went just about everywhere else in the US before my first time down to Moab.

Glad you like it here though & hope you find your way back sometime

Funny, they called me today to ask me about my old '01 DC cause the new owner brought it in for them to work on.
It's definitely Taco central over there.

I'm glad my truck isn't the only one that looks like that in the wheel well.

Rust, and not looking new anymore in general like the majority of the pics in other threads that guys are working on '14+ trucks.

Is anyone that's in or close to salt lake valley experienced in cutting for a high clearance rear bumper? Want to change my order from a regular but nervous to do the cutting alone.
