Just curious but from the picture I can't fully tell what is the repair that the last panel track is broken and it can't fold up into the window or what?

The staples on the last locking bar popped, so it droops like that when it is unlocked. It still folds perfectly all the way, both ways, and it's only hanging like that so I could show it in the picture. Gorilla glue or contractor cement would probably be an easy cure. I have no room to keep it.

I'll leave this great deal for someone else as I already have one just has a baseball size dent on a panel towards the top and powder coating is rubbed off on a few places, overall it's seen better days but still functions great. But good luck with the pretty much gifting of this someone is going to luck out and enjoy.

Selling my Giant XTC 29er 2 hardtail. Size medium. I bought it used and only rode it twice, never got into mountain biking like I thought I would. Previous owner upgraded a few things, tubeless conversion, and Thomson stem. Barely used helmet and gloves will be included along with an unopened bag of kirkland trail mix. Picture was before I bought pedals, there are pedals on it now. Any questions or interest let me know. Asking $800 OBO

My wife works for Citi financial, who took over the costco CC. All I hear about all day is how pissed off the Costco customers are about the CC swap.

Heard that. Wife has been killing it working overtime at Citi. Feels really good dropping $1k towards debt every month. Only a few more CC payments and then its strictly car loan payments. The famous "Snowball" effect has been working really well for us.

    Expedition Trailer for sale:

My trailer is up for sale. It just received a nice kitchen upgrade along with an inspection. I just got the trailer weighed at a certified scale at I am happy with the results. I am not giving up on trailer life. I simply have an opportunity to move into a production trailer once this one sells.

The trailer is based off of a M116A3 Military trailer platform and has been heavily modified to become a great offroad/overlanding trailer. It has been used on the following trips in the 15 months since its completion: Utah Border to Border, Baja Mexico, and the Idaho Border to Border route along with countless other trips both on and off-road. It is a proven platform with over 10,000 miles of use. Completed in May 2015. Fairly unique design based on the Turtleback trailer. I wanted to build a DIY version with a similar design.

The major differences between this trailer and a Turtleback is it’s a bit larger, more storage, and interior finish are not as polished as a TB (other than the kitchen), and of course the frame was a military trailer with the added box vs being built in a production facility. I have been 100% happy with this build. Lots of smart/skilled people helped with it. It is a great platform ready for your own adventures. The trailer just received kitchen upgrade and inspection with no issues found.

    Price: $10,500

    Location: Phoenix, AZ

    Features:

    • Torsion axle - UCF Flexride patented suspension system (Exactly the same axle as a Turtleback trailer)
    • Toyota bolt pattern, can be changed. Comes with 2007 style FJ Cruiser rims. No spare. Tires have less than 10,000 miles on them. 265/70/17 former un-used spare tires. (Rims pictured not included)
    • Wheelbase matches an FJ Cruiser.
    • Electric brakes
    • 32 Gallon Water Tank Easily accessible water tank fill and drain handle
    • On Demand Water Pump with Commercial Grade Plumbing
    • Atwood On Demand Hot Water Heater (Built into the trailer not exposed)
    • Single AGM 75AH Deka Deep Cycle Battery with solar controller.
    • Solar charging port on side of trailer or on battery box for solar kits with their own controller
    • Slide out kitchen with dual burner stove and sink with foldown faucet. Baltic birch professional quality cabinetry from Turtleback Trailers.
    • Kitchen area includes a dual USB charging port and 12 volt plug. On/Off switches for the gas, water pump, light and water heater
    • Vented sink drain line with option to hook up a hose or use 5 gallon bucket
    • Auto off gas safety switch. If the drawer is closed while the stove is running the gas will cut off.
    • LED light bar on front of trailer and in kitchen area
    • Interior light for cargo area with on/off switch on both sides of the trailer
    • Simple electrical panel with a BlueSea fuesblock, On/Off switch, and solar controller.
    • Production model quality aluminum doors and storage boxes. All with locks
    • Shower head with hot/cold knob with locking door
    • Tank-fill port with locking door
    • Harbor Freight large tongue box (Battery in battery box mounted here)
    • Shore power plug on tongue box with Noco charger
    • 2 Fuel can holders in front (Hold 5 gallon NATO style cans gas cans not included)
    • Quality round tube roof rack which can support a large RTT
    • CVT Mt Rainier Tent included in price. (1yr old) Upgraded to a more dense foam mattress but also have the original CVT mattress if you wish to switch
    • 2 - 11lb Propane tanks with steel propane tank holders. One is for the kitchen and water heater and the other as a spare or for your grill, etc.
    • Tons of storage including the front area which can hold up to 8 FrontRunner boxes. 3/4 of the top deck is available storage. A 10x10 EZ-Up can fit inside of the top deck length wise.
    • Open receiver hitch on trailer to accommodate a Max Coupler or your choice of trailer hitch. Max Coupler included
    • Aluminum skin no rivets
    • Recovery points front and back
    • OEM stabilizer jack in back
    • Standard jack in front and heavy duty XO Jack with dual wheels. The XO jack makes it very easy to move the trailer both on hard and dirt surfaces.
    • Wired for 7 pin plug to charge the battery and electric brakes
    • Safety cables vs chains
    • Exterior covered with Monstaliner bed liner.
    • It will fit in a standard height garage
    • Titled in AZ with VIN

    Dimensions:
    Box Dimensions:
    44.75" Wide
    34" High
    89.5" Long

Total length of deck: 97" includes fuel can area.
    Tongue length: 42.5"
Total length of trailer back to front of the receiver: 140.5" (11.7ft)
    Total width of trailer: 72"
    Deck Height: 26"
Total Height of trailer in center (ladder): 80”. As long as you don’t have an additional mattress inside of the RTT this trailer will fit in a standard height garage without having to air down the tires.
Front Door Dimensions: 21" Wide X 28" High

    Trailer Weight:
Weighed at a certified scale both empty and with all my stuff. Nearly bulked out as if I were doing a 2+ week trip.

    Empty No Water - 1775
    With 32 gallons water - 2040
With gear including 10 gallons of fuel - 2320
Trailer no tent or water - 1625

This puts my trailer within 100lbs of a base Turtleback trailer (single battery, stock tires). I'm very happy with that.

Here's the build thread with lots of photos: M116A3 Trailer Build Takeover - Expedition Portal
Old tent and old kitchen are in these photos

    Issues:

    • Plastic Ladder knobs tore off but you can still easily retract and extend the ladder.
    • Small tear in RTT cover zipper fabric at beginning of the cover.

Hey Guys, So here was today's haul!

I've already started the next list of TW Members interested in these... If you would like to be added, please PM me. Below the pics, I've listed how it works...

    IMG_2842.jpg IMG_2840.jpg
    IMG_2841.jpg IMG_2843.jpg IMG_2839.jpg IMG_2838.jpg

    HOW IT WORKS:

If you are interested in getting some hard military-grade plastic cases/boxes for camping gear, tools, recovery equipment, etc... I've started creating "shopping lists" based off TW member's desired specs (preferred brands if any, color preferences, size restrictions, dimensions, wheels or no wheels, and anything else, etc). Once I have enough people who are interested and have established what each of you are looking for, I will check out my local resources (mainly technology companies) and see if I can find anything that suites each persons needs. I can find these in used condition for a fraction of the price new.

    I've found the following brands:

-Pelican (2975s, 1550s, 1650s and 1660s are popular and easy for me to find)
    -Pelican-Hardigg
-Hardigg (Which are what my personal ones are, but harder to find)
-ECS (very hard to find in practical sizes, if you want to go really big, these can be an option)
-SKB (Usually rather expensive, and usually awkward sizes, but usually close to brand new!)

Color wise, most of the cases I find are black or dark army green. Occasionally I'll find grey ones, and rarely do I find tan ones.

I've seen all sorts of sizes/dimensions, so if you want something specific in that regard let me know, but giving me a range is really helpful!

As for pricing... One of the reasons I'm making the list of interested buyers is that often times I can get a good discount on the cases if I buy them in bulk. Usually the prices can range from $80-$140 each depending on the case (mainly size dependent). Again, They are also all USED cases but finding functional ones in good condition isn't a problem. Almost all of which are weatherproof and some still have their pressure release valves in working order (which is nice if you are changing elevations often). Once we have established your desired specs, I'll ask for your phone number for when I go shopping so that I can text you about what I am finding before I buy em! Sound good? Send me a PM!
