    2012 TRD sport
Looking for any info on a brush guard or bull bar that will fit 2012 TRD sport and allow me to keep the OEM "skid" plates.

This truck is new to me...the skid plate that came with the TRD sport package. It is not grey but it could be a black cookie sheet. It is not the same as the one they sell. Heck I would be willing to get rid of that plate but then I want a bull bar that has a plate that goes farther under the front end, then the Westins I have seen.

    Westin Bull Bar

I think he wants to keep the aluminum TRD skid plate and have a bull bar. I had these pics on hand of mine with Westin Bull Bar installed. The OEM TRD skid plate fits perfectly with the bull bar. The OEM TRD skid plate almost acts as a continuation after the Westin plate ends. Saved my arse about 2 months ago when I an 18 wheeler blew a tire and i hit retread dead center!

Go with the Westin light bar. Looks alot better than the bull bar IMO.

Look at the Bullet Proof Fabrication ifs skid. I got one recently, it's made of steel, not aluminum, powder coated and stamped. Looks similar to the trd skid but stronger. Weighs about 30 pounds.
