This weekend was a pretty damn good one, I got my 3inch lift on from ARB. aside from compressing the springs, it wasn't terrible putting on at all. It just took bit longer than we thought but oh well. Got everything on and snugged up nicely, and I couldn't be happier! Big thanks go out to Jesse Haines for letting me use his shop and tools along with his help. After we finished getting the lift on, we headed out to moon rocks to camp out for the night and play on the mellow stuff out there the next morning.

Here's a couple pics of it going on and yes, we did run a strap down to the front tow points to lift the truck, and yes it did work really well to get it on some jack stands. I'm really happy with how it sits right now, I'm sure it will settle a bit but spending a week at King of the Hammers filming should break the springs and everything in nicely. I'm happy with how the 265/75/16's look with the lift. I'd rather run a little bit smaller tire and get better mileage as I really don't need the larger size for anything since I won't be wheeling it too hard. Going for practical function for now, but long travel and 35's is definitely something I'd like eventually.

My friend with the LX450 hasn't had a chance to really take it out yet besides in the snow, so we got him lined up on a nice line to straddle and he made his way up. Pretty cool saying the first time he wheeled it was out at Moon Rocks at night.

The next morning we went up into the hills for a little cruise, the views and weather were top notch. We couldn't have asked for a more clear day!

I spent this past week at King of the Hammers filming for the KOH movie and it was as good as always! It's always amazing seeing just how many people wind up on the lake bed and the different rigs they bring in. I brought my dad with me along with my buddy Lucas, and we had a blast! My dad is hooked now, he's already planning things out for next year. I used the taco as a chase truck for hauling me and my co pilots around to the different locations to film and it worked great! I didn't get many photos since I was filming most of the time, but here's the few that I did!

This was from where we camped on the lake bed early in the week

I hungout around race mile 59 to get the UTV's and EMC guys dropping down the hill back near Hammer Town for a little bit. There was plenty of time to kill while we were waiting for cars, so I snapped a shot of Jack.

I set this up for @TheSpeediTurtle to snap of me while I was filming qualifying, pretty epic shot!

After Hammers, we all headed down to Joshua Tree pretty late and snagged a camp site to crash in. We got up pretty early and headed back up to Sacramento that Saturday. Couldn't have asked for a better trip!

Its not Tacoma related, but my dad and I picked up a 1988 FJ62 this weekend that will be getting built over the next year or two. Plans are for a spring over and 37's locked from and rear.

How much lift did you go with? Love the simple look. That's the look I'm going for.

I went with the 2 inch lift kit from Old Man Emu, it's been fantastic so far!

Yesterday my roommate Brett our other friend Brett and I met up with one of my buddies and his friends for a little trail run out at Gold Lakes in Northern California. Unfortunately we didn't have a ton of time to run the trail but we got through a small portion heading up towards Snake Lake and it was pretty fun! We had a total of 11 rigs I believe which included @gneisscruiser in his 80 and another guy in an 80, my tacoma and another taco, 4 Monteros (which are pretty damn cool!) two 4runners and an Exterra. It was interesting running with a group this big but I enjoyed it, its definitely interesting seeing how differently other people operate on a trail. Here's a few photos from the day!

This guy to a stab at this big rock slab on the Summit Lake trail on our way up to Snake Lake trail, he couldn't quite get up it but it was a solid attempt.

Brett was next up at the climb and didn't have a problem besides having to make a 24,000 point turn at the top to get lined up to go down the other face of it.

Here's most of the group while we were hanging out watching cool stuff happen.

This is the view of Gold Lake right after we made it up the switchbacks which is where we had to turn around due to time.

Almost the whole group at the top.

Finally, my trusty Taco on the way down and Bert's 80.
