Can anyone explain to me how to remove this component on my 2007 Tacoma? I need to drill a couple holes in it and attach a bracket. I'll be reinstalling it, so I need to be careful in its removal.

    I'd really appreciate it.

I second that if it's the same as the 2014. Pull it straight out. It's held in place by four clips if I remember correctly.

Is it only that little tray or the plastic behind it/ around it too?

That interior is immaculate under any circumstances! But being a 2007, super excellent! Kudos bro! Very Nice!

On my 2007 you just pull the tray straight out toward you. It just snaps in and out. I've had mine out many times. It's easy.

Pull it straight towards you. If the tray is the only thing you're removing none of the other panel pieces need to be removed.
