Okay so I have a question about my 4wd, bout a month ago I replaced the rear main seal because of a oil leak, well after I got it replaced and got the transmission back on my 4wd wasn't working anymore and it was working before I replaced the seal, and I can't figure out what the problem could be because the 4wd shifter is in the right spot that it needs to be in and it won't lock in now any ideas about what it could be and what I could do to fix it or is there anything I need to check and adjust. I also have another question, after we finished getting the transmission back in my truck now jumps real hard when put in drive when it cranks up while it's cold but if I let it sit then put it in drive it doesn't jump so if there is any tips or something that I can do to fix that please let me know because I am worried that if it keeps doing that it will mess up the transmission really bad, thanks!

Some faults in computer as in check engine light can cause trans to go into high line pressure causing firm engagements. Any check engine light? Low fluid level can be aggravated when cold causing firm engagements also. As far as 4wd goes, cant help there.

Find out what the codes are and others will chime in and give suggestions on which way to go.

Alright will do, and I am really worried about the 4wd the most because hunting season is coming up and I'd hate to be out there without it and end up in a bind if I have to go into somewhere that's a little wet
