I am going to order a shell next week. Stuck between the ARE V series and a Snugtop Rebel. Plan to do vented windoors in either with a drop down front and carpet headliner. Obviously price varies a bit. I was quoted 2770 OTD for the rebel and 2305 OTD for the ARE. Outside of price, is one any better than the other?

I have had a few Snugtops over the years and have had good luck with all of them, quality parts throughout in my opinion. Only downside is the high cost to purchase. I bought one budget shell for a Ford Ranger from a company called "Vision" and it was a piece of junk, nothing but leaks and window problems.

I had a snug top on my last truck , not overly impressed with the quality. Third brake light burned out rather quickly , the rear window fit was never right . I ordered it color matched and it had some runs in the paint. For the price I was disappointed.

I can tell you this, the lift up side door is worth a bunch for grabbing stuff in your bed that's upfront.

I'm loving the fit and finish of my ARE. Extremely happy with the quality of the product I have on my truck.

If I had a 6ft bed, Id get a snugtop. My 5 ft bed takes the usefulness out of it for me. Some day when I go full size again.

I have had both. Have a SnugTop now. Both are usually good quality.
