A really good way to search the site is do a google search of what youre looking for then end your search with tacoma world! Its way better than the in house search function! So for example "satoshi tacoma world" or throw grill in there maybe? Either way just play with it and you'll find good threads.

Hey OP, with the questions youre asking im wondering if you should find one of the couple members on here that offer the service and just send them your grille??? I can tell youre very timid about this mod. If youve already checked out the write ups and are still super timid about it, it might be best to let a member hook it up for you...maybe??

These are some pics of mine. It's almost coated in like a rubbery finish so it's real tough. Only thing is, it looks like you want a thin lip. These will mount flush.

I ordered a new grille from Rock Auto for about $25 then started cutting. I didn't have a dremel at the time so used I think like a sawzall blade lol. Much faster the other way though. Taped off the "lip" areas to try and not scratch it and then cut. Then filed down the remaining stuff sticking out until it was smooth. I left the lower piece for support.

Then taped it off and painted the inner lip area avoiding the chrome on the outside.

Then just screwed in the grille with the stuff they sent with it.

These GrillCraft ones won't work if you want to do a lip unless you cut it but the method is similar. The only difference is you might have to use like fiberglass or bondo or whatever the cool kids use lol to fill in those openings on the sides to make it smooth.

I think I paid like $140. I got it through Autoanything.com and usually you can google a little discount code to knock some off.

So after you cut the center, you filed down the sides and repainted it right ?
