**CLOSED** RCI Off Road Spring 2016 Group Buy

So I need some help. Ordered for a16 Taco and the holes for mounting are 17" center to center where as the factory is 14.5" center to center. Am I missing something here as to where I'm supposed to mount it?

Nevermind it is a 16. Can you measure the spacing?

Ya I think I have to remove the 2 support brackets and it'll work. RCI did email me but I won't have time to try until tomorrow. Thanks for all the help though.

Got it mounted up today. You do need to remove the 2 support brackets that run from the front radiator support back that the original skid bolts to, along with the 2 factory skid plates. There are 6 bolts total on these 2 support arms and 8 bolts from the original skid. You will need to reuse 2 of the bolts from the support arms for the front of the plate. Fits perfect, way more heavy duty. I went with the aluminum and it's head and shoulders over the factory.

Dang is it too late to get a grout buy skid plate??

 

My instructions said the same thing for 2003-16 tacoma. I have a 2013. I removed the brackets and went to reuse the bolts but they didn't even fit thru the notches on the plate. I reinstalled the brackets and the skids lined up perfectly with the stock skid mounting locations. Anyone else experience this?

Recieved my RCI ifs skid and dang is it puuuuurty and clean with thorough welds, straight lines. really well built. Chose the aluminum to protect my fumoto valve and other stuff from debris and rocks. Not much of a rock crawler more a DD that frequently drives 20 miles on poorly maintained private roads. . would buy again and recommend for anyone looking for a ifs skid that wants to save weight over steel.
