i just got done installing an LED Daytime Running Light bulb and after I installed it, neither of my turn signals work. No clicking sound or anything. I also noticed that my hazards do not work nor make any noises. Help needed.

How do I fix it to make them start working again?

You get a new fuse...but make sure the hazard button and the turn signals are not "ON". I always remove the ground connection to the battery while doing electrical jobs.

Should they work even with the led bulb still in there after I replace the fuse?

Don't you think it would just blow again?

Remove plug to bulb, replace fuse, verify signals. If it passes then you got an issue with the bulb.

They are probably in "inverted"..remove one plug on one side leave it off. Then on other side remove bulb and turn in "around" re-insert it try again. Or reinstall the old ones...

LED bulbs will not flash or flash very fast because of the different voltage requirements. There are other mods that need to be done to the circuit. I have seen this before with other TW members.

Yes but blowing the fuse? He needs to add inline resistors. But the fuse blowing would need to be addressed first.

I would put back the old bulbs, return the LED's, replace the fuse and call it a day. It's not going to be worth the headache unless you are familiar with how LED's work.

What headache? Adding an inline resistor isn't a complicated task.

It's the fuse doing it's job is the concern. What is causing the short.

I'm thinking lack of power draw from the l.e.d.'s makes the hazard/turn relay pull an inrush amp enough to cause the fuse to "work". So do install the inline resistors since they'll be needed anyway in order to prevent hyperflashing from the new L.E.D.'s

It looks really good. Looks like I don't need turn signals. Thanks for all the help though. I'll keep y'all updated.

Inrush occurs when an electrical device has a large electrical load at start up. Like AC transformers and large electrical motors. Lack of current wouldnt cause inrush.

The LEDs are likely polarity sensitive, and at least one may be plugged in in reverse polarity. Try reversing them and replacing the fuse again.

Isn't that a shunt/parallel resistor with respect to the bulb? It's not limiting current to the bulb.

I just replaced the dash bulbs and now my turn signals don't work. All the fuses test good. Any ideas on what else it could be? I'm about to start pulling the dash pieces apart and checking connections. This is an '03 2WD Tacoma. Thanks.
