Does anyone know how to replace the Bank 1 Sensor 2 O2 sensor in a '04 Tacoma? The problem is how to access the electrical connection...is it accessed through the floor of the vehicle??

Replaced chrome badges with Sockmonkey black badges, painted billet grill black, K&N cold air intake, my corner light turn signal circuit, Speedfreek traction bars, RAAMaudio BXT/Ensolite, Stereo: Kenwood KIV-701 USB/Bluetooth deck, 10" Pioneer shallow sub behind the rear seat, Infinity 6822cf 6x8 front and rear doors, Fosgate P400-2 (sub), US Acoustics USX-4065 (four main speakers)
Where is the bank 1 sensor 2 sensor? I followed this write-up when I replaced my bank 1 sensor 1 sensor (to fix my P0031 bad heater in the sensor). https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/how-to-replace-o2-sensors.194366/ He said he replaced both sensors "Bank 1 and Bank 2 (upstream/downstream) sensors". The two sensors he showed on his 2000 were in the same locations as my two sensors on my 2003.

The plug is up through the floor .

The rubber boot can be pried out nice and easy

Pull the harness gently through the hole unplug

    Swap your sensors

I can`t recall if the new sensor has a boot or if you reuse the old one been a few years

If you're referring to the O2 sensor behind the cat, the plug is under the carpet just under the passenger seat. Should be able to take the plastic threshold trim off and pull the carpet up a couple inches to get to it. Not far in at all. Just unplug, install new sensor, route new wire through the floor hole and properly seat rubber grommet and plug it back in the harness. Done.

Be prepared, depending where you live of course, to deal with some corroded studs on the exhaust mount. They will cause you way more headache then searching for a plug under the passenger seat. Mine were nowhere near as clean looking as in that vid..

True story. Just did mine two days ago and the nuts didn't even resemble nuts anymore. Had to use vice grips and pliers to break them loose.

Is P0031 the one being replaced in the link you posted? I need to replace bank 1 sensor 1 too. Anyone know where I can find the best price on replacing it?

Rock Auto. Just did bank one sensor one. That's the air/fuel sensor, and it's more expensive than the rear sensor. About $100 for a Denso.

I've done a mod or two
Same, I cheated sorta and hammered on one side smaller impact socket and let the impact get it off.

Amazon also has really good prices on 02 and AF sensors.

Great. I have always found the nuts on the upstream sensor come off easier than the rear sensor, even though they may be eroded. I have almost always been able to use a slightly smaller wrench on the eroded nuts and spin them off.

Nice. As soon as I get the extra cash flow I'll be purchasing and replacing. Have to see about working on the frame first.
