Nice build! Why didn't you go with a 5 lug conversion? Better (bigger) brake options like e36 /e46 M3 would bolt right on. Also better rim and tire options, more choices. Good to see a fellow Bimmer addict, although I have an addiction for e28's.

    Thanks!

I considered the 5 lug conversion but decided to try the small brakes first and see if they can get me by. A 5 lug conversion is quite a bit of work and money so I'd rather not if not needed. Overall since I have no plans of doing track days in this thing the brakes are fine. I've never faded them during autocross but they are fairly weak. I'll probably step up to some good track pads and slotted rotors next.

And I hear you on the addiction. I was very very close to buying an e30 touring to use as a daily last week, thank god someone else bought it because it was way too expensive and I was about to make an irrational decision lol.

Love me some diving board e30. Just curious why you chose stainless O ringed block instead of copper?

Honestly, because I had it laying around. I had the groves cut deep enough to where the o ring would cut into the gasket but not need a receiver groove in the head. Seems to be holding up well other than the super common and annoying external oil leak from the head gasket. That'll get fixed this winter (new head gasket, oem this time).

I finally got a boost controller on the car. A hallman manual controller. I cranked it to a nice safe 15psi and it's freaking fast. I think this will motivate me to get the car ready for the dyno. Still need a tps and I want to get a fuel pump in it before tuning too.

So I picked up a sweet e30 wagon to be my new daily.

Also got a manual boost controller in the car, here is me missing every cone by about a mile at the last autocross, enjoy.

    Thanks!

Once I sell the 128i my newest and most reliable vehicle will be my 1990 Chevy silveraydo with 240k miles on it

    Respect. Rock that shit.

My main problem is my "projects" always become more expensive than my new vehicles, haha.

It's pretty good, cab corners are gone but the rest of the truck is solid. It definitely has a lot of highway mileage on it.
