@Acerwin My bed rack keeps my tent at almost perfectly flush with the top of the cab. About to slap a prinsu on the cab and bed cap and put the tent back on top so its for sale if you want it.

I learned today that my led fog lights are illegal in the state of SC & was also told I needed to google SC laws & learn how many lights I am allowed on the front of my truck & also how much lift I am legal to have. Told me I needed to put the factory fog lights back in or run no fog lights at all.

 

I'll see. Might just keep mine for now. Gotta see how low I can go cause my fridge will be in my bed at all times while camping

Legally LED lights cannot be used on any road because they are not DOT approved. You CAN buy the DOT approved ones from a company like Rigid but $$$. Also pretty sure that you are not allowed to have more than 4 forward facing lights on at a time including headlights. As for the lift height never heard of that around here. Just be thankful we don't live up north, their regulations suck.

 

Cop was just being an asshole. I have a 97 ranger that has a frenched in license plate and used to get stopped all the time by cops saying it was illegal to have a tag at an angle. Lies. I printed tag regulations and laws and keep them in the glove box and would hand them to them after I got "warned" for like the 10th time. I demanded one particular officer right me a citation for it after he pulled me for it for the 3Rd time in 3 weeks one time. He brought me back another warning. I called his office and spoke to his superior about harassment of my vehicle due it it's custom nature. That cop didn't pull me over anymore after that.

Also have been pulled over in the day time for "not having license plate lights" when it was sunny. Told the officer to take a closer look at the bolts. Lights were built into them.

Police get wild hairs up their ass and want to try to bother someone bc their vehicle is different.

I'm nearly 100% positive if you look up the laws on any of the "offenses" he warned you over they don't exist or he misunderstand the law.

 

Went out on the boat yesterday and on the way home from the ramp (only 3 miles from the house) I apparently lost a tire on the trailer. I had three other people in the truck with me and NO ONE including myself heard or felt anything. Some guy flagged me down at a stop light and said "dude you lost a tire on your trailer going over the bridge." Pulled over and sure enough my tandem axle trailer was now a 3 wheeler! Got home and disconnected and went to look for the tire and it was patiently waiting for me to pick it up lol. The outer bearing must have self destructed because the lock nut, cotter pin, and main washer were all still on the spindle.

 

This encounter sucks.
