Toyota Man's 11 DCSB Build

Sweet. I stuffed some 285/75r17 trail grapplers on mine. Trying to finish up my 4wd conversion. Just waiting on a few miscellaneous pieces and I can add all the fluids.

Finally got the 4" lift kit installed. I ended up keeping the Downey built coil over packs. I also kept the rear add a leaf. I put the RC blocks under the add a leaf and just threaded up the coils until it sat level. When all said and done it ended up being about 5" of lift. Time for some tires.

Looking at 295x75x16 BFG KO2's. This should be about a 34" tire. Pics soon

 

So here is what I went with for tires.

BFG KO1 tires in a 295x75x16 on the 16x8 Raceline Raptors. These fit nicely on the 4" lift kit. For this lift I used the add a leafs I was using on my other lift and then added the 2.5" blocks that the kit came with originally. I retained my Downey coil setup with spacers right now. I do have a custom set of coil overs on there way that will replace any spacers for this lift.

Also got the new Coil overs from Toy Tec. Should get these installed in the next week or so. Strut spacers are gonna be in the scrap pile soon!!!!

So I had some business trips to make this summer. While out and about I had a chance to do some exploring.

First trip was to Maine. I drove up to Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park.



This one I saw on a vehicle while out and had to take a pic!!



My next trip was only a week after Maine. I had to go to L.A. I have always wanted to see the Shuttle fly. Unfortunately I didn't get to see that, but I did get to walk under and around these mind blowing machines!!!

 

Went for a ride last night to see the sunset.

Took the rear rock snagger off the 4runner. Started building a rear plate bumper for the rig. Center section is done. I still need to fab up the bolt in place side wings, but making good progress!

 

Got the ToyTec spings and shocks installed. They went on great and the handling is so nice!!!! Also installed the replacement ball joints for the Light Racing upper control arms.

 

For anyone interested. I am selling the Downey struts that I had on the truck.
