Really lol? The entire truck is 13.2" longer. The Wheel base is also exactly 13.2" longer. That's barely more than a ruler! Wheel base is what I was mainly concerned about for off-roading but I had to have the long bed. For my family of 4 I really needed the double cab.

For me it was access cab or DCLB as the 5" bed is too limiting. I wanted to be able to have a small tool box in the back and still be able to load my Honda rancher 420 in the bed. That wasn't happening with the the short bed. Eventually I want to buy a camper shell and be able to take road trips durning the summer and sleep in the back. Didint see that being very feasible in the short bed either.

To each his own but I think the DCSB is the ugliest of all. I suppose some don't really use a truck for a truck. I throw dead animals (deer and hog hunter) haul firewood, go camping ect with my trucks.

If I didn't need a truck bed I would just have bough a 4 runner!

I didn't say it is way longer, I just said it looks like a limo. I actually agree with on the dcsb, it is ugly as hell too.

If I'm spending 40k on something, I damn well better like how it looks.

    Buy something you like then.

I like the way my truck looks, I don't really care how you think it looks.

My dealer had to trade a build slot with another dealer 200 miles away to get my access cab long bed back in February.

As opposed to the useless grocery getter DCSB? My truck is a truck not a pretty wanna be truck. Noticed how disportionate the 3rd gen DCSB is, the longer nose/hood makes it longer up front than in back. You are among the few, notice how hard it is to find a DCLB, its a very desired config.

No such thing, sorry this is a pet peeve of mine, its just an Access Cab, not an Access Cab long bed, it only comes with one bed.

    Joining the DCLB for sure.

    Placing order this week

    Good luck with the search.

I like the idea of more space for shred sticks in general and crashing in the back whenever I decide it's time.

I had a hard time just finding an sr5 dclb. Had to search within 5 states of me to get it. If you know what you want don't settle. Too big of a purchase to not get exactly what you want.

I would hardly call that arguing as I'm not trying to convince you of anything.

And no, what you think isn't important to me, never was.

I haven't read any of this thread.... You are looking for model 7568.

I searched for 4 months and then put a deposit down on a 7568 on the day it was allocated to a dealership 120 miles from me. Waited about a month until it came in. Drive it off the lot the day it arrived with 6 miles on the odometer. We wanted tow package only and we got it with tow package, carpet mats, and exhaust tip like normal. Paid 500 less than msrp, which was good back then for socal. We bought in December 2015.

The wait is worth it. My wife's quad fits in the bed with the gate up. We love it
