Has anyone installed the LC6i for their Tacoma with JBL Audio to get a little more out of the stock sub and amp? If so, is the install hard? I'm thinking of just taking it to a professional a few miles away just to be safe.
I really don't know if it's going to do that much.
Also, if I install this, how much more of a risk am I at for busting my speakers, sub, etc. Everything audio wise is just the stock JBL package..

    Thanks

You will need to get to the back of your radio. The speaker wires are colored...

This image is old but this is the one i used to find what wires are what in my truck...

I used the bottom one to install a sound processor in my truck. Everything was correct for my 2013 taco. Not sure what year you have but its not that bad.

Go buy some wire taps and a wire stripper/crimper, pull your radio out of the dash, locate the harness with the above color wires and start crimping on wire taps. Run the wires to the LC6i and you will be good.

What else are you putting in your truck?

Also the LC6i is a line out converter that is used with amps to power speakers. If you are just trying to get more out of your speakers then you may want to look at the alpine power pack. It will add a little bit more power to your door speakers than what your stock head unit can and its small and easy to install.

Like @Zac of all trades stated, all the lc61 allows you to do is run amplifiers by giving you rca outs. Wont change anything playing music currently
