Finished my CB install... Ran power straight off the battery through the driver's side firewall grommet. Ran the antenna cable back and down through the grommet under the passenger seat. Fashioned an antenna tie down with paracord run through a hole drilled in the roof drip guards. Working on getting the tie down as short as possible without the antenna end hitting the roof.

And, since I've always loved this:

    I did this:

I remember seeing you ask about this in another thread. I'm so glad you stuck to it and followed through because that looks bad ass!

Not knowing your municipality what kind of traffic do you get on the CB?
I lean more towards a 2m or VHF setup as I am close to water and lke to have that option of shore to shore or shore to ship, but on the highways the truckers are using a lot of SSB radios amped up beyond legal so typically your gonna get stepped on. But I see the group caravan line of sight for CB s, is that you intended purpose?

Just for the hell of it check out the 2m or VHF bands usually 5-8w Line of site but they are better quality and depending on what you get only a few $$ more, mobile can be cheaper and more versatile for backroading as you can take it with you.

    Anyhow nice setup, enjoy!

Thanks. This is almost exclusively for truck to truck while off roading. Anything else will be for fun...

That setup looks great. I sport the handlebar as well. Remember, with every great mustache comes great responsibility.

You call those handlebars? High school kids in the cow country of Nevada grow them better than that...

Remember, it's not the size of the handlebars in the fight, its the size of the fight in the handlebars. Or something like that...

What hardware did you mount the CB bracket with? Lots of switches in that area and I would hate to run screws in there

The radio bracket came with 2 shorty self tapping screws an, external tooth lock washers and flat washers. They were perfect.
