Yeah no worries. The tool is useless after you do the bearing swap but they charge you an extra $60 for the puller and $40 for the push kit

I'm not familiar with the Demello and Marshall is not exactly Oregon but why not support local, from what I've seen he does clean work & you don't have to worry about shipping & if you want powder coat you also don't have to worry about damaging that.

Those are good points and that's why I'm on the fence about which company to go with. The Demello slider I want is in the link below. I like how they look.

I have Demello-Offroad sliders that are "bolt-on" but the holes don't align. I'll need to re-drill the holes to make them fit perfect. I had to use smaller bolts to get them on. Makes me glad I didn't order a front plate bumper from them...

Nevermind....I'm going with Marshall Fab. It almost half the price of Demello before shipping. And local pick up does sound nice.

It says no bolt on for gen1. I think it talks about the hardware because it's a generic Web page kinda deal.
But u can pm him on here to just search and you can find him.
Cause who know he may have invented something new

Thanks for putting the meet together, feels like the ball is starting to roll for a new set of Oregon regulars (where are all my OGs??)

Hey, I'm not from that town, how am I supposed to know there is a lower LOWER parking lot! ;) Be glad I didn't park in the upper parking lot!

Only thing I have never liked about the ARB is that they don't put in a sight window for the winch. It's really important that you can see what's going on with the spooling. Of course, you can always get someone with a plasma torch to cut the window.

If there's enough people interested, I'll buy the part as well and we can just do our own little 'group buy' and split shipping. I don't know if I have the experiences you all have, but my truck has never appreciated 60mph.

Oh, one more thing: I forget who I saw it on, but one of you guys had steel cable with a Hawse. That combo is going to hurt you, bud - the steel cable is going to shred through that fairlead quick. Secondly, and I'm not sure how much of an issue it really is, but you may be generating a lot of heat from friction. Either put on a roller fairlead or swap to synthetic AND buy another fairlead. Once a fairlead has been used with steel, you can't use it with synthetic unless you want to spend a good amount of time sanding and polishing to ensure it isn't going to fray the synthetic.
I hope that you understand that I'm saying this as a PSA and not a criticism of your build. I have photographic proof floating around here of stuff I've done rather... wrong... when it comes to configuration.

I'm still old skool I run steel cable and a roller fairlead the weight savings is tempting but steel has worked for years. It's cheap and easy to replace and the sun doesn't fade and weakin it.
FYI for anyone that needs replacement steel. Rigging products on Columbia is the place it's 40% cheaper than ordering from manufacturer. It's an industrial rigging shop.
You pick the size, type, length and what eyelets u want and they buildon't it on the spot.
