X2 my wife and I decided to go cheap for all the reasons listed prior. We had the ceremony in my in-laws back yard on their deck. It was a great time, very low key and cheap. My buddy was our JP and couldn't have been any better.

Ya that.was my thinking too, unfortunately the wife didn't feel the same so extravagant wedding it was. That's not to say I didn't have a great time, it was a blast. But the amount spent was just stupid. If you can finda girl who thinks the same more power to you, but they are few and far between. We did the justice of the piece, but that was an insignificant savings in the grand scheme of things.

Same here man. My wedding was a blast but was very pricey. Let's just say I could have had no truck payment lol

Jesus! That looks like a disaster waiting to happen out in the water. Those boats.

Do you know who the band was?

@DrFunker it was trailer trash. They did a great job and played a ton of covers. They actually took a break between songs and called me out for standing on the shore (while working), and did a thank you to law enforcement. It was a nice gesture and all the people went nuts cheering lol. Must have been close to 1000 people between the shore and the river.

Very cool. Great that they recognized you and called you out for not wearing the proper attire for the event. :D
