I ran two sets of wheels/tires for summer/winter using my stock sensors in one set. The light only activated on rare occasions usually weekend out of town trips. Once back home near the stored wheels the light reset. No reprogramming costs or buying sensors or buying "rebuild" kits or set tools. I do have the tech stream clone @tomwil screen shot that's cool for other things like door chimes etc. I made sure my state inspection coincided with no light illuminated. The dealer inspected my truck twice without any sensors or light illumated since my garage with stored tires is a mile away. TPMS is a money maker for everyone but us. Thank you very much I visually inspect & use a tire pressure gauge!

:amen: Just had my truck inspected last week and the dealership didn't even say anything about the regular rubber valve stems in the tires and there being no light on

OMG Exactly! One winter a tire shop wouldn't mount my tires without sensors. Wanted $300 plus install for sensors!! WTH!! Said no thanks & went to Mom & Pop garage who put em on for me $30. I tipped the guy $20 for saving me $250! Every year I go back they are so nice to me there lol....

Your completely right though, all the TPMS bull crap is just to make money, crazy amounts of money...... People like us who actually check their tire pressure regularly don't need that system! I wish it wasn't mandatory on every vehicle now.......

    all tore up already
you guys all assume he bought oem sensors. there are easily a half dozen or more aftermarket tpms manufacturers. many sell different lines, some need to use their own took such as standard's "techsmart" line, dorman, vdo etc. not saying the price is fair since some can literally be done in like 3 minutes, but many need to be "cloned" during installation etc. im thinking there

    Too few to list.
Toyota dealer quoted me $260 to get this done. I said no thanks, I'll live with the light. I might just pull the gauge cluster and either pull the bulb or led or just tape the underside so I don't see the light. TPMS or not, I can check my own tire pressures without needing a reminder.

Mine were only 140.00. Used the stock sensors from my steel wheels when I swapped to the TRD Pro 17's. Dealer said they had to tear down the tires and wheels to get the sensor ID. Did the pressure re-set per the manual after the first rotation. I have dashes again. I'll live with it. They do not re-set after 25 miles as the manual says. The good news is that the yellow light on the dash is out.

When I got my TRD wheels with new tires, I bought new OEM sensors since I did not want to dismantle my stock setup.

Discount tire was able to program the new sensors for me for free and it took them exactly 2-minutes.

If anyone is interested in one of these I can make them, the cost is $12 for all the parts plus shipping which is cheap thru my work and a small labor fee!

Yes. I got OEM TPMS on eBay set of 4 for $77 with the rebuild kit.

Costco couldn't get it to work though.

Went to Firestone nearby and they had them done in 2/3 minutes. Had to read them as 2015 Camry. No light and the pressures read on all tires. Cost = $0 since I've bought probably 10 sets of tires for various vehicles there.

All I have is the little light on the dash since I removed my tpms, barely notice it anymore. Is it a more annoying light on the 3rd gens?
