I was there a few years ago with my son riding ATVs, the place is awesome. Was told the oldest rocks in the country are there. Would like to return with my taco for sure.

Well JimboAnz let me know. I will post up on here as that date gets closer. Is there a day you'd prefer? figuring more people would go Saturday but I'm open to Friday instead if that's better for anyone.

Uwharrie is an awesome place to wheel and camp. Just make sure you scout out some of the trails before heading out. Some of them are darn near impossible without a locker.

Dutch John, Rocky Mtn Loop(has been dug out a lot), Dickey Bell, Daniel -> In order of difficulty. All are passable without a locker, but all are easier with a locker.

My son and I rode to the top of some mountain, can't remember the name, but a jeep club was driving up the harder side while we rested at the top. An old wagoneer led the way, was impressed they all made it.

Looking back down the trail we took up.

Let me just say I forgot how helpful everyone on this forum is. I sold my Tacoma for my FJ a few years back and haven't been on here much.

I do have the rear locker, skids, and 35s with a warn winch so I'm fairly well prepared but all the help is awesome. I'll post up again as time gets closer.

Alrighty I survived the Windrock trip with minimal damage (broke a bumper cover haha) sooooo which day would any of you be able to make it to Uwharrie? I'm assuming Saturday would draw a bigger crowd? Regardless, where do you usually meet and when? I was going to stop at that eldorado outpost to get my day permit. 10am work?

I am in for Saturday, as are a few others. Eldorado Outpost is the place to meet up, on HWY 109. They has gas and food and air. I usually try to arrive by 8 or so, get aired down and shoot some shit, and roll out to the trails by 9 or so. Cell service blows out there, just a heads up.

Sounds good. I'll aim to be there by 8:30 to roll out around 9. I'll be in a black FJ. My name is Jake by the way.
