Memorial Day is booked a year in advanced. You'll never get a reservation last minute.
That said, the Tahoe Basin has really political rules when it comes to campfires. No campfires are allowed anywhere in the basin year round except established campgrounds (meaning paid campgrounds) that have designated fire rings. There are plenty of undeveloped places to camp on some of the local trails, but it's a $500 fine for any open campfires or bbqs (and USFS and LTBMU are in full effect holidays). Gas and propane stoves are allowed so long as you have a 2016 campfire permit.

Yup I know all the fire restrictions and laws. I have a propane fire ring and I have my camp fire permit. Just need a good location to set up.

For those that are geographically challenged, Lake Tahoe is bisected by two separate states, California and Nevada. The "Damn Californians and their laws" have nothing to do with it. The fire restrictions are mandated by USFS, not California.
But carry on, I appreciate those that type posts that allude to their approximate IQ.

I'm aware of that as well. Still going to hassle you damn Californians :stirthepot:
I'm from CO, I've never dealt with fire restrictions out here. :jerkoff:

There are many ways to be a Californian. You may not be a Californian by the state you live in, but rather by your "I'm better than you" California attitude.

Only the Californians get butt hurt when picked on. They're ultra sensitive.

I am not a Californian, but you are a fucktard based on those statements. That makes me an asshole, right?
