    Hi,
After about 9 months (like a baby ;-)) of looking for a proper car I finally found one! It's 2003 Taco v6, 4wd AT with double cab and short bed. Taco had one owner for almost 12 years in New Hampshire (according to Carfax) and I'm the second user (excluding importer).
Taco obviously has some issues but nothing serious (it's almost 200k miles!!). It's third taco in our "family" next to 2000 4wd 2,7L and 2005 4,0 4wd.

I want just say that this forum is a great database of knowledge and for now the only one helpful (tacos was never sold outside US and Canada).

Having Taco in Europe is hard cause there is a lack of parts and proper service garage. The only source of parts is ebay but shipping cost is outrageous!!

    Best regards,
    Szymon

    My dad was from Bialystok.
Still have some family there. Not sure what town they are in though.

Congrats on the "new" Tacoma. Looks like you know them well.

Grandparents were from that area. Matter of fact ,I found an online phone book and half the people in their village have the same last name as me. Must be kin, I reckon. :hattip:

    Thanks. :D
    It's in my fathers honor.
I am very proud of my heritage and very proud of my father.

I would love to go there one day. I had wanted to go with my dad, before he was not well enough to go back. :(
It actually took him many years to come around and say that he wanted to go back to visit. He "left" during very bad times.
A trip to all the places where my dad walked is on my bucket list.

It's very common at the country side where a lot of people could have the same last name. They could be related but not necessary. My wife has the same name and last name as her sister-in-law, they leaved in one house for few months so their ID's has the same data.

It's polish Coat of Arms (recently). It was changed few times over centuries but always it was a eagle (orzeł bielik).

Polish Coat of Arms is always should have gold crown, claws and nose. OK, it's end of lecture.
Sad to hear about your Dad. That trip would be a great memorial for him. When the time will come give me a sign i can help you with few things

    :cheers:Agree.
Dad always said "it always should have the crown" whenever he saw a Polish Coat of Arms. :) I remember very far back hearing him say that.
Thank you Szymon for the very generous offer. I will absolutely do that when the time is close.

    Thanks.

Do you have any mods planned or are you keeping it mostly stock?

first it would be stock solid.
Scheduled oil change in engine,at,tc,diffx2. Next air filter, sparks etc. It must running well.
Then new painting on bed and polished body (i don't like word polish cause i'm from Poland ;-) ) and bed cover.
First non stock will be exhaust, custom made by local master (it would be done in september)
If engine would be in satisfing condition i'll go for forced induction and fuel management upgrade. If something go wrong i'll be in trouble. In EU there is a lack of Tacos and chances for spare engine is equal to 0 ;-)

this would be car for weekends and the main task is to deliver me and my bikes for competitions, no need for offroad mods.

and there is a problem. body and bed are free of rust (only two simetrical spots near the front doors, no big thing) but there is a problem with a frame which was all painted. theoretically it was sandblasted (sorry i'm not sure is this word is right, i'm not a native speaker) before painting. theortically, because i had only photos of that and not sure for 100% is this was done with heart.
