I use it daily on my Galaxy S6 edge. Also, Galaxy 6+ and later support rapid wireless charging. My next will be an S7 or newer note.

I was like man why didn't the new 4Runner come with one of those, it's such a nice thing to have. Then one of they guys on T4R did something like this so I did one better.

I got a multi-coil charger and hot glued it under the center console pocket. Used a 5V to 12V adapter and carefully cut a slot to fit the LED thru.

Now I use it for my Note 4 whenever I'm in the Runner. Now I can be cool like the Taco guys.

I use it all the time... It is so nice to jump in the truck put my phone down and it automatically starts playing my music and charging. It is a game changer imo if more phones use this. I have the s7 and it's fast charging really is much faster than what I was getting with my lg g3 with my add-on back for wireless charging.

Edit:. It's about a percent a minute for charging speed.

I have a Galaxy S6 currently that charges 3% or less in an hour. Makes phone roughly the temperature of molten lava. Doesn't matter if the case is on or off. Charger engages immediately but is pathetically slow. My last phone, Galaxy S5 charged well... if you placed it exactly right on the pad and could get it to engage at all (rarely happened).

Power button has been turned off and i have a Samsung quick Charger plugged in inside the center console with about 6" of cable sticking out.

    No Mo Qi Fo Me.

I have a Galaxy S7 and it charges terribly slow on the Qi, about 1% every 10 minutes or so.

Its not as fast as my charging cradle by my bed but i would say if I put my phone on the qi charger at %75 it would take about 1 hour to charge. Yes it get warm, not hot. It is a nice feature that I chose because I dont need wires running all over the place.

Literally only charges my 6 @ 3% per hour and gets the phone WAAAY hotter than it should. Odd. Thanks for the info!

My Galaxy Note 5 only charges if it has over 50% battery remaining, and it charges VERY slowly and gets super hot. I clocked it once and it took 30 minutes for it to charge about 3% from 60% to 63%. The USB cable charges slightly faster but the cigarette lighter is clearly the way to go. I have tried with and without the case. It makes no difference.

Im sorry to hear that. I know on mine it chargers faster with a gas station case on it then a lifeproof.

That is what i have found as well. Too bad, it charged my S5 really quickly if you could ever get it to engage... i don't thing the Qi liked the aftermarket card set up that phone had for wireless charging, it was like finding a needle in a haystack.

Yeah sometimes it just constantly goes on and off charging mode too even if it is placed in the most ideal location on the pad (left and toward rear of vehicle) closest to passenger. It is super annoying because you keep hearing the little Noise the phone makes to signal charging or not charging. If I muck with it enough it will stop, otherwise I just pull it out and give up.

My S4 charges at a rate of about 1% per minute while Bluetooth is enabled.
