I was just rear ended for the second time since getting the new pickup last September.

I had an MGM for almost 5 years without any incidents :)

Looks like the right segment of the bumper has been pushed in, probably needing the crumple piece replaced. The tailgate just looks like a bit of a touch-up will be needed to get back to normal.

You'd think red would be easier to see....sorry OP. Seeing lots of accident threads lately, it's open season on Tacomas

doensn't matter the color when people aren't watching where they are going!!

    2 words:

Plate Bumper FTW - next time no scratches and you can laugh at the person that f's up their front end.

I took my bumper apart and replaced it with a plate bumper, the stock bumper is going to be PITA to put back together. Suggest take to a body shop OR plate bumper.

GL I'd use the insurance coin and get a new plate bumper, probably cheaper than the repair bill!

Damages to the bumper main plate frame, the trailer hitch, tailgate and other visuals - adds up to just under $2000. If I didn't want to cut into the front or lose the blind spot monitors, I was strongly considering plate bumpers all around.

It's a well documented fact that while checking Facebook or texting on a phone makes it impossible for people to see the color red. You should get the truck resprayed grey or blue.

No BRO-ness to speak of... Well, except Kbro2's
In Atlanta you could paint the S.O.B. HiViz Green and run strobing ambers on it and it wouldn't make a difference... 75% of every car i see the driver has a smartphone glued to their little millennial hands. 30 miles of interstate each way on my commute and i see a minimum of three rear enders a day. FACT.

Sorry for your situation OP... Sucks the crank, that's for sure.
