Bilstein 6112's up front (4th notch, want to go up to 5th), 5100's in the rear with a 2 inch block for some rake until I can afford a new leaf pack. For somebody who doesn't go extreme with the 4x4 I am quite satisfied with the lift. I was hoping for a little more up front but it handles great and that is all that really matters. Camburg 6112 kit that came with the UCA's.

    265/70/17s
Got wheels with too much offset, thinking about CMC.

Anyone going to regear? 6th gear is useless for me on the hywy with the lift and tires! Nitro has 4.88 available for the auto without e locker! Ecgs has some available also, but not sure what ones yet.

Carl at just differentials said they have done several with 4.88 and got 4 mpg gain. Said they won't bother with 4.56 as they are so close! Have you noticed the same shifting effect on the hywy? It's quite annoying!

I also added the magnaflow catback, and just did the afe cai, also had the tsb for transmission update. Still running down the hywy mainly in 5th gear at 68 or faster unless I am heading down hill.

Soon! :) I thought 4.56 would be right, but at this point, looks like 4.88 it will be.

Yeah 6th is ok on flat road but if I need to pass or going uphill it'll downshift. Is what it is though, it's to be expected.

Just talked to Murph over at just differentials. He said they could do 4.56 if I wanted. Not sure which way to go. He said they've done several trucks with 4.88 and the people are very happy. He said the trucks are undergeared from the factory so 4.88 with the lift and tires would probably be the way to go. I just know that I want to be able to do 80 miles per hour on the highway without the RPM's being way too high. But I want to make sure 6 gear is back in play. Because right now the truck barely uses sixth gear. Any suggestions?

4.56 for 33s or 4.88 for larger IMO. Unless you'd prefer it to feel sportier on the road at the expense of always running at higher rpms, if thats the case 4.88 all the way.

So if someone is able to do a gear swap on these 2016's what are they doing as far as reprogramming the truck to account for the gear change and shift point changes?

I imagine shift points remain the same, either based off throttle input or RPMs. Regearing can help to make it closer to stock again if the right ratio to tire size is chosen. Chose it wrong and things can get wonky, most common is people going with larger tires without regearing which essentially makes the ratio taller and people complain about it shifting oddly or being too slow. It'd be ideal to balance it out, or go with a manual trans.

I am coming from the Jeep world and if you changed gears and didn't reprogram the ECU then the Jeep would go into Limp Mode.

Hadn't considered that, sorry that's the extent of my knowledge on regearing this truck.

I will just have to stay tuned because I would be interested in trying to fix the low end torque problem.

Thanks! The gear calculator says 4.3 with 285's. So I thought 4.56 would be good. Murph seems to think 4.88 would be his choice. He said even with the second gen 4.88. 3rd gen with the sixth gear even more so. I need to get it right first time. Not a cheap upgrade!

Don't think a reprogram is necessary. If anything, the truck should drive closer to stock than it has been since the lift.
