    You need a blazing fire, cut it into four, leaving the blue field intact. Place each piece on the fire. Until it is completely gone, then you bury the ashes.

    Google it. Boy Scouts have a nice ceremony you can print out and fallow.

    Can I get a CV or the same PM?

    I've executed a couple retirement procedures.

    Cut the strips, burn the strips individually, (there is actually an order you burn them in, and you recite the state names they represent as you burn them) then you burn the field on top.

    The entire procedure is pretty well orchestrated and detailed, sucks if you have synthetic flags to dispose of tho, the smoke hurts the eyes.
