OK....Time to start a dedicated thread. I'll keep a reminder in the Official Central Kentucky thread, but here we go with the planning!

Black Mountain has their annual Fall Crawl the weekend prior. I'm scheduling some vacation time around the 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. (Fri/Sat/Sun) I'll be calling this week (Friday?) to see if I can still reserve a cabin, or, if not, a motel not too far away. Plan is to meet on Friday evening at the Putney Trail Head, and have a meet and greet, along with a cookout/dinner of some sort. Everyone is on their own with regards to food. We'll meet up at the same spot early Saturday morning. Hopefully, we'll hit the trails by 8AM. Plan is to drive all the way through the park to the Evarts Trail Head. I'll be staying at the camp ground, or returning to the motel as the case may be, then possibly a short trail ride early Sunday, then returning home later that day. I have a 6 hour drive each way, so Sunday will be a short day for me, no matter what.

Those wishing to camp at Putney or Evarts, they have great camping facilities. I MIGHT drag my camper down and stay in it....Unsure at this point.

So far, there has been some interest from people with relatively stock vehicles. We will be following green and blue trails mostly. There is an option to take some of the more difficult trails for those so inclined. They will join back up with the green/blue trails at some point where we can continue as a group. For those who haven't been there, Putney to Evarts on the green trails is quite a long ride, and don't let the "green" fool you. It's plenty challenging, just not too extreme so the "stockers" can't follow along. If enough of the hard core guys join up with us, we'll do more to cater to their wishes. As of now, it's mostly mild trails being requested.

I'll get the list of committed participants from other sites and list them here in the next few days. Please let me know if you plan on attending. Of course, we'll take more vehicles clear up to the time we hit the trails, but I'd like to know ahead of time just what to expect.

    :boink: Anyone out there?

Gonna say I'm 75/25 will be attending this weekend.

Might have a 86 turbo'd 4Runner committed to this too and he acted like Harlan would be more of his speed vs other options this same weekend.

Should be picking up some bed drawers this weekend so my camping setup should be dialed in by the end of October and I'll be itching to try it out. IFS skid will be here by weeks end.

This thread needs some more traffic!

Subbed for some sweet pics. I'll be down the weekend before at the fall crawl even on Rzr's. Doubt I can make it back the following weekend which blows.

Yeah....I'd like a video with my truck in it that DOESN'T include getting stuck in the sand....

That is good news! VERY glad to hear that! Hoping to hit the trails around 9AM if possible. We'll be starting from the OTHER end this time. (Putney trail head) I've still got your cell# in my phone from last year.

I waited too long and all the cabins @ Putney got rented out. (Except on GIANT one that sleeps 20!) So, my wife and I will be staying @ Benham School House Inn, about 15 miles away from Putney trail head (Harlan camp ground) We'll be there Friday night and Saturday night. Anyone else interested, phone # is 606 848 3000. I imagine a few will be camping @ Harlan camp ground. (606 573 9009)

Once everyone checks in with their itinerary, we will plan a get together on Friday evening @ the camp ground, then set a time to meet up early Saturday to hit the trails.

List of probable attendee's is starting to look really good!

Nope. Screw that. I'll sleep in the hills with the locals before I do that.
