Hello! New Member I wanted to do a introduction and show off one of our favorite pickups to come through the shop. We are Automotive Elegance and we are master craftsman clear bra installers. We love all kinds of cars and trucks it doesn't really matter what it is, we are just passionate about protecting its paint.
A while back this Special Tacoma TRD Pro came into the shop for a complete full body wrap an awesome change to it's finish. This customer wanted his entire TRD Pro covered in XPEL Stealth. "Stealth" is a self-healing matte finish paint protection film. While the film provides the cool look of matte paint job it also protects the vehicles against rock chips and other damage. It's self-healing layer can cure itself of swirl marks and fine scratches in minutes without doing a thing!

Certain parts such as the grill, hood scoop, mirrors, door handles and roof were covered in XPEL Ultimate to match the factory gloss finish. To thoroughly change the entire vehicles finish over to matte without the original gloss showing some disassembly was required. Side view mirrors, door handles, window trim, molding, lights, and other parts were removed. With these parts absent the film can be tucked in and behind each of the areas where the removed parts belong. Reinstallation of the removed parts over the installed film creates a edge that is completely hidden. This hidden edge makes for a flawless and smooth transition to the vehicles finish.

Hope you enjoyed the view... We sure did. Thank You!

    Wow that looks pretty cool!
So that's a clear wrap over the factory gloss paint?

Just curious, what's a ballpark figure for a job like that?

Yes Sir, Coverage can be done to the extent of your liking in either this matte finish film or a gloss finish film that will match your vehicles factory finish.

Hi WATaco, I would prefer not to discuss pricing here in the open as we are not currently a site sponsor. As new member I do not want to ruffle any feathers. I will PM you shortly.

Absolutely. That is one of the greatest benefits of this product. It can be removed whenever you choose and there is a brand new vehicle underneath. The product is also covered by a 10 year warranty which covers cracking, bubbling peeling etc. The warranty not only covers the product itself but the labor aswell.

I bought this truck back in July! The wrap is peeling off the running boards but that does not bother me. Don't think it was made to stick to chrome.
Glad I now know who did the work and what the wrap is called.

Hi GPC! What's on your running boards is plastidip, not paint protection film. We did not install that. I'm not sure if that's from the manufacturer or if the previous owner had it done.

Not sure the dealer had the running boards off it. I had them install them when I bought it.
Very happy with the coating if I have any questions on care I'll PM you.

Wanted to say this coating is very tough!

I was shooting steel the other day and had splash come back and hit me and the truck. I bled the mark on the truck was gone after 20 min!

Sadly today my boss backed into my drivers door not happy but the wrap held up pretty damn good.

That's nice, I like the matte look and have heard great things aboiut Xpel Ultimate.

Side bonus, I've wondered what my truck would look like with roof rack rails - good to see.

Looks great! I love the Xpel Stealth wraps and have thought about getting my next new vehicle wrapped in it. In your experience, has it been difficult to maintain? Any issues with it lifting on some of the more complex curves or at the edges?
